Staff and students at Imperial College London may be eligible to register with the Health Centre for medical services. Please read the guidance below for further information.

Imperial College Students

All undergraduate and postgraduate students at one of the following campuses are eligible to register for primary care medical services at the Health Centre;

  • South Kensington Campus (including Marsden and Brompton)
  • St Mary’s Campus
  • White City
  • Charing Cross & Hammersmith Campus (undergraduate and graduate medical students only)

Your home address post code will determine if you are eligible to register as a NHS patient or a NHS Out of Area patient. When you complete your registration forms you will be advised by one of our team of your registration status.

To register please download and complete our registration form above and bring it with you to the Health Centre reception. Please find our location here.

You will be registered as an NHS patient if your current home address postcode begins with;

  • SW1, SW3, SW5, SW6, SW7, SW10
  • W1, W2, W4, W6, W8, W9, W10, W11, W12, W14
  • WC1, WC2
  • N1*, N5, N6, N7
  • NW1, NW3, NW5, NW8

*Not all of N1 is covered under the NHS

Most Imperial College Halls of Residence are within the NHS catchment area. If you wish to use our service and live within the above areas please register under the NHS as soon as possible after you arrive at College.

If you are eligible to register and choose not to do so, you will not be able to access Health Centre services.

Existing students wishing to register will be required to show their College ID when submitting registration forms.

NHS Out of Area Patients (students)

If you do not live in one of the above postcodes but you are based at one of the above campuses you can still register as a NHS Out of Area patient and receive medical services during our core hours, if it is clinically appropriate and practical to do so, in your individual case.

We are not able to offer home visiting or out of hours care to our Out of Area patients, but you will have access to all of our other services.

Imperial College Staff

Staff members may be eligible to register for NHS services at the Health Centre.

The criteria for a staff member to register with the Health Centre is;

  • a current contract of employment with Imperial College London, and
  • the staff member’s home address postcode beginning with one of the following;
    • SW1, SW3, SW5, SW6, SW7, SW10
    • W1, W2, W4, W6, W8, W9, W10, W11, W12, W14
    • WC1, WC2
    • N1*, N5, N6, N7
    • NW1, NW3, NW5, NW8

*Not all of N1 is covered by the Health Centre

Please note

the contract of employment must me between Imperial College London and the staff member (staff who are subcontracted or work for Imperial College Healthcare Trust are not eligible to register).

We do not accept registrations for family members of staff unless they live within the local resident catchment area

If you are eligible to register then please download and complete the registration form. Please bring this completed form with your Imperial College ID and proof of address to reception.

Non-eligible Staff

If you do not live within our catchment area we are unable to see you. Please visit the NHS website to find a GP near you.
