Arranging an Appointment

We have a team of part-time Psychotherapists at the Practice. Counselling appointments can be arranged following a referral from a Doctor at the Health Centre. The doctors are experienced in dealing with students with emotional problems and have counselling skills themselves.

At your appointment the doctor will decide how best to help you. This is partly to manage the caseloads of the psychotherapists but also to match students with therapists with particular interests or skills.

Confidential

The counselling is free and confidential. From time to time liaisons or consultations between professional staff at the Health Centre may take place, with your permission.

However, nothing will go into medical records or be disclosed to third parties without your consent (unless this would in itself endanger your life or that of others, a rare exception).
