Staff and students at Imperial College London may be eligible to register with the Health Centre for medical services. Please read the guidance below for further information.

 

Imperial College Students

All undergraduate and postgraduate students at one of the following campuses are eligible to register for primary care medical services at the Health Centre;

  • South Kensington Campus (including Marsden and Brompton)
  • St Mary’s Campus
  • Charing Cross & Hammersmith Campus (undergraduate medical students only)

Your home address will determine if you are eligible to register under the NHS. When you complete your registration forms you will be advised by one of our team of your registration status.

You will be registered as an NHS patient if your current home address postcode begins with;

  • SW1, SW3, SW5, SW6, SW7, SW10
  • W1, W2, W4, W6, W8, W9, W10, W11, W12, W14
  • WC1, WC2
  • N1*, N5, N6, N7
  • NW1, NW3, NW5, NW8

*Not all of N1 is covered under the NHS

Most Imperial College Halls of Residence are within the NHS registration area. If you wish to use our service and live within the above areas please register under the NHS as soon as possible after you arrive at College.

If you are eligible to register and choose not to do so, you will not be able to access Health Centre services.

If you do not meet this criteria you can still register as a non-NHS patient and receive medical services while you are on campus. However you must also register with a local NHS general practice in order to access 24hr care and referrals.

Imperial College Staff

Staff members may be eligible to register for NHS services at the Health Centre.

The criteria for a staff member to register with the Health Centre is;

  • a current contract of employment with Imperial College London, and
  • the staff member’s home address postcode beginning with one of the following;
    • SW1, SW3, SW5, SW6, SW7, SW10
    • W1, W2, W4, W6, W8, W9, W10, W11, W12, W14
    • WC1, WC2
    • N1*, N5, N6, N7
    • NW1, NW3, NW5, NW8

*Not all of N1 is covered by the Health Centre

Please note

the contract of employment must me between Imperial College London and the staff member (staff who are subcontracted or work for Imperial College Healthcare Trust are not eligible to register).

We do not accept registrations for family members of staff.

Non-eligible Staff

If you do not live within our catchment area we are unable to see you except for emergencies such as an accident at work, or if you require dressing changes. Please contact reception for further information.
