New Telephone Appointments

In order to improve access to the doctors and reduce waiting times for appointments, we have recently increased the number of appointments available at the Health Centre.

Whilst continuing to offer urgent and routine face to face appointments as before, we have now introduced telephone appointments.

Please book a telephone appointment with a doctor if you feel your issue can be appropriately dealt with in this way. The doctor will then phone you at the allotted appointment time.

Examples of issues that could be dealt with in this way include problems which do not require a physical examination such as routine regular medication reviews and making blood test requests.

Please ensure that you are available at the time of your appointment. The doctor will telephone you as near to that time as possible, but if they are unable to speak to you, this will be marked in your notes as a non-attendance.

NHS Care Records Service

The NHS is changing the way it stores and manages your health records.

You will have a summary care record, which will be available to people providing you with care anywhere in England. This will help to ensure that NHS staff treating you have essential information about you. This will mean that your doctors and nurses, together with you, will be able to make informed decisions about your care.

As a patient you have options regarding the creation of your summary care record.

For more information:

  • ask for a leaflet at your GP surgery
  • www.nhscarerecords.nhs.uk
  • call the NHS Care Records Service Information Line on 0845 603 8510

Please note that unfortunately the extended registration area for Imperial College students and staff only applies to those working on the South Kensington (including Marsden and Brompton), St. Mary’s, and Charing Cross Campuses. Imperial College students and staff from other campuses are not eligible to be seen here, unless they live in our local resident registration area.
