Smoking Cessation & Health Trainer

Smoking Cessation

Smoking is one of the biggest causes of death and illness in the UK.

Every year around 100,000 people in the UK die from smoking, with many more living with debilitating smoking-related illnesses.

Smoking cessation means ‘to quit smoking’ or ‘withdrawal from nicotine’. Our smoking cessation advisor, Yadira Yamhure, is available at the Health Centre every Friday afternoon. Appointments can be booked into the clinic without seeing a doctor or a nurse.

Health Trainer

Health Trainers are local people who have been specially trained to support people in their community to make healthier lifestyle choices such as taking up regular physical activity, eating a healthier diet, giving up smoking, drinking less alcohol or reducing stress levels.

Our health trainer, Fayten Chaer, is available at the Health Centre every Thursday. Appointments can be booked into the clinic without seeing a doctor or a nurse. This service is only available for patients living in Westminster.
