Nurses

The Nurses are particularly interested in health promotion and prevention of illness and welcome consultations on general health, lifestyle and diet.

They run clinics to optimise the care of those with illnesses such as diabetes, asthma and heart disease.
If you have one of these conditions and would like to attend these specialised clinics, please contact reception for an appointment.

Clinic Times

Routine, non-urgent enquiries concerning travel, minor ailments etc. can be obtained from the Practice Nurses by telephoning between 12:00-13:00

Appointments are available between 8.30 and 17.40 and can be made by calling reception.

Nurses' Open Clinic: 9:00-11:00 and 15:00-16:00 (except Tuesday afternoons)

Travel

Travel advice and vaccination clinic appointments are offered throughout the year and can be booked via reception. Ideally you should try and attend at least 2 months before you intend to travel. This will enable you to plan your course of vaccinations with the nurse as it may not be possible for you to have all your vaccinations at one visit.

There are charges for some vaccinations, so please bring your cheque book and cheque card with you to your appointment. We will not be able to give you vaccinations without the appropriate payment. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept payment by card alone.

Flu vaccination clinics are run annually in October for those over 65 years and for individuals, with other conditions, who are considered by the Department of Health to be at increased risk if they develop flu.
