Joining as an Out-of-Area Patient the Health Centre
1 User Online

Students of Imperial College and the Royal College of Music may use our services during surgery opening hours even if they are not eligible to register with us as their NHS GP.

What to do Next:

1. Complete the forms in our registration pack

2. If you are under 25 yr of age, check your vaccinations.
3. Bring the forms to the Health Centre.

Our registration day for new students is Sunday 3rd October 2010 11am - 4pm

We regret that we cannot process your forms without seeing you.
For the majority of students who have already had all the necessary vaccinations this is a quick process. You can help avoid any delay by being prepared.

Routine Daytime Care only

As you will not be registered with us as an NHS patient, you will only be able to use the services of the Health Centre during our opening hours. Imperial College Health Centre cannot provide you with out-of-hours care or advice, nor undertake domiciliary visits.

It is therefore STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you register with a GP local to your address, in case of emergency.

Vaccinations
You should do this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE before you need us and so that we can check your vaccination status. Knowing our population also helps us plan our services.

It is ESSENTIAL that all those under 25yrs of age read our section on vaccinations to ensure they are protected against Meningococcal Disease (Meningitis) and Mumps. Although rare these diseases DO happen, particularly in the student age group, and their consequences can be severe.

Changing address

If you change your address (e.g. at the end of the academic year) you must inform us as soon as possible in case we need to contact you. We do not have access to any address details held by College (nor vice versa).
